Victorian Gingerbread Playhouse

Victorian Gingerbread PlayhouseAs you can see in the image to the right, this little playhouse is one hell of a project. The back of the playhouse is seen in this picture. The rough openings shown will have round and half-round windows, and the upper one is for a round top vent. The playhouse is up 5′ in the air on a pressure treated timber-framed base which houses a sandbox. The land around the playhouse is terraced, so the steps from the front porch down to the ground only go down three feet.

There will be extended dormers on the sides (you can see the openings in the rafter tails if you click on the image to get the large one), a ship’s ladder under a trap door, and a bunch of other details.

This playhouse was designed entirely in 3D with Autodesk Inventor (1,051parts so-far), so I could pop out some plans for it if there is any interest. Until that time, I need to finish building it. if you want to see more pix, just email me and I’ll put some up….
